Purpose:   To review legislation, voter initiatives and other governmental actions that may impact the Huntington Beach business community. The task force makes recommendations to the Chamber Board of Directors which makes the final determination on whether or not to support, oppose or remain neutral on an issue.

Eligibility:  Any Chamber investor who desires to assist the Chamber in identifying and analyzing legislation, voter initiatives and other governmental actions that may impact the Huntington Beach business community is welcome to join the committee. The GAC includes representation from the offices of local elected officials, including our State Senator, Assemblyperson, County Supervisor and City Council members. The Orange County Business Council also sends a representative to the Task Force meetings. Non-Chamber investors may attend two meetings as a guest of the Chamber.

Tax and Regulatory Matters: The Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce looks to ensure proper vetting and recommendations be brought forth when matters of legislation affect business.

Transportation: The Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce supports continued advancement of transportation initiatives designed to make our community more livable.

Tourism: The Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce seeks to partner in development of products that encourage the continued representation of Huntington Beach as the place to visit and host your corporate functions.

Healthcare & Community Wellness: As a vital part of a successful community, the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce encourages continued expansion of programs geared toward community health and wellness.

Education: The Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce advocates for education at all levels and looks to produce future business and community leaders.
